AnnMarie’s Porch Punch

AnnMarie’s Porch Punch – The Backyard Pour that Never Ran Out

There was always a pitcher on the table. Never fancy. Never store-bought. Iced tea, lemonade, maybe some orange slices if they were on sale. AnnMarie made sure everyone had a glass in their hand—even the neighbors who didn’t plan on staying. It was sweet, tart, and perfect for those post-parade cookouts when the heat finally showed up. This punch isn’t complicated, and that’s exactly why it works.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups brewed black tea (chilled)
  • 4 cups lemonade (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 orange, sliced into wheels
  • 1 lemon, sliced into wheels
  • Fresh mint (a few sprigs, optional)
  • Ice, for serving
  • Optional: 1–2 oz bourbon or vodka per glass for the grown-ups

Instructions

  1. Brew your tea strong and chill it completely in the fridge.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the tea, lemonade, and orange juice. Stir well.
  3. Add sliced citrus and fresh mint. Stir again and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  4. Serve over ice. Let the grown-ups add a splash of bourbon or vodka if they’re feeling it.

Chef Paddy’s Tip

  • Use sweet tea if you want more Southern-style punch. Unsweetened works too—the lemonade will balance it.
  • If the citrus is too sharp, stir in a spoonful of honey or simple syrup.
  • This punch holds up in the heat—just refill the ice and keep pouring. AnnMarie wouldn’t let a cup sit empty.

Let’s cook with heart and hustle.
