Chef Paddy’s Shamrock Margarita

This vibrant margarita mixes Tequila Ocho Plata, fresh lime and orange, and a hint of agave. Shake it up and raise your glass—Chef Paddy-style.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila Ocho Plata
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • ½ oz fresh orange juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup (or simple syrup)
  • Optional: splash of pineapple juice
  • Ice
  • Coarse salt or Tajín, for rimming
  • Lime wheel or orange twist, for garnish
  • Optional: green sugar rim for festive flair

Instructions

  1. Rim your glass with lime juice, then dip into salt, Tajín, or green sugar.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, orange juice, agave syrup, and pineapple juice (if using).
  3. Shake well for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is frosty and the drink is well chilled.
  4. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel or orange twist and serve immediately.
